- Geckobot is a Maximal from the Beast Machines portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The agile Geckobot is both highly intelligent and very creative. Their sail-like wings absorb energy, which they store in a module on their back for use in their energy pulse weapons. They're very maneuverable in flight, and the absorption properties of their wings make them perfect for long-range missions.
In their spare time, they like to create garbage art from scrapped Vehicons.

Geckobot was part of a cell of Maximals who rebelled against the status quo imposed by their Autobot masters. They joined a nighttime raid on Ferromax Detention Center to free Dynobot, though they weren't very keen on the name chosen for their concealment: the impercepton shield. Their wings are geared to "flap" in beast mode and become arm-mounted blades in robot mode. Their spark crystal forms their beast mode eyes and is revealed fully by flipping open their lizard skull.
