The name or term "Wreckloose" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Wreckloose (disambiguation).
Wreckloose is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.
Who hasn't fantasized about the glorious sheltered life of a Wreckloose? The stifling isolation, the soul-wracking paranoia... the saving and testing of one's own urine...

The deadly Wreckloose thinks fast and is fast, making him more than a match for Sideswipe. Sideswipe loves a challenge, though, and he'll gladly match wits and weapons with the Decepticon saboteur.

Wreckloose is a retool of Robot Powered Machines Mini-Vehicle Sideways; a 1:64-scale (based on the Audi R8, given that this is a Sideways retool) generic sports car that can stand on its tail-end, revealing a relief image of his robot mode. The original raised "SIDEWAYS" lettering on the mold has been removed, replaced with a tampographed "WRECKLOOSE" and a tiny Decepticon symbol. The toy features through-axle construction that allows it to zip along at fast speeds on flat surfaces in car mode, and is compatible with race tracks made by competing companies.
He came in a two-pack with a new-deco version of Sideswipe. As part of the final wave of RPMs, Battle Series 2 did not get released through normal retail outlets in the United States, instead showing up for sale first in Canada, Asia and Europe. Later, though, it would show up in the US through Toys"R"Us Express mall stores and discount chains like Ross and TJ Maxx.

Oooh! Do they accept Solo cups of urine?
  • Sideswipe VS Wreckloose (Mini-Vehicle 2-pack, 2010)
  • Series: Battle Series 2
  • Number: 01 of 06
Part of the first wave of Speed Stars Mini-Vehicle versus packs, Wreckloose is a redeco of Robot Powered Machines Sideways. Yes, redeco. Unlike the RPM version, Speed Stars Wreckloose uses the original underside, including the raised-lettering "SIDEWAYS", though at least they didn't paint it.
There are also a large number of color differences between the two releases. The car shell is cast in a lighter, paler green, and the bottom part in dull silver. The rear exposed engine is also dull gray rather than the original's silver. Finally, Speed Stars Wreckloose lost a lot of paint applications, having a now solid-green robot mode (which admittedly makes him look more different from Sideways than the original's mostly-black deco), as well as unpainted headlamps, grill, hood-vents, taillights, tailpipes and rear bumper.
He came with a similarly-altered version of Sideswipe.

Notes

[edit]
  • The two versions of Wreckloose sport differently-colored package art, reflecting the colorations of their respective underside-robots. The image at the top of this article is taken from the Speed Stars release because it's way cooler.
