"I am a monument to all your sins."

A monster of a Titan, the damaged and "incomplete" Dweller was banished to the depths of the Argon Sea. Becoming something of a local legend, the Dweller was guarded by Hammerbyte, the guardian of the Argon Sea. Some time after the Earth year 2007, the Quintessons invaded Cybertron. In liberating the planet from the aliens, the cityspeaker Windblade overexerted herself freeing the Titan Croaton, her mind fracturing. One of these psychic shards found its way to the Dweller, reactivating him. Taking pity on the incomplete cityspeaker, the Dweller possessed Hammerbyte when confronted by the beastformer and had him retrieve Windblade's body. Once he'd repaired the cityspeaker, the Dweller planned to use her to assimilate all of Cybertron's population.

Windblade's allies followed Hammerbyte with the Dweller managing to enthral Bumblebee. When confronted by Chromia, the Dweller explained his history and motives before he sent his thralls to attack the Autobot. Once Chromia had managed to turn Bumblebee's stinger on both Autobots, its electrical effects freeing them from the mind control, the Dweller flooded the room with his hypnotic gas only for the Autobots to flee, Hammerbyte seizing Windblade's body. Though the Dweller was quick to follow, the Autobots managed to breach the surface of the Argon Sea and abandon their shuttle, the Dweller unknowingly taking the empty craft back into the depths with him. After returning Windblade to her friends, Hammerbyte dived back into the Sea, noting that the Dweller's presence made protecting it even more difficult now. Dweller In The Depths
