One of Shockwave's inventions, the laser snare can slice and dice any starship it comes across. To function, the weapon fires a single beam of energy which then splits to envelop the hapless craft in a grid, the beam slicing through the hull and detonating the ship.

Battle For Cybertron I Though Megatron eagerly planned to mine the Ark's wreckage, the Autobots revealed themselves to be alive, having anticipated the attack and bailed out long before there was any danger.
