Hauler-Bot is a Go-Bot from the Go-Bots portion of the Go-Bots continuity family.
Yeah, that was him in "More than Meets the Eye, Part 1".

When the Go-Bots need someone to lend a powerful helping hand, they know they can pick the very biggest in Hauler-Bot! This new Go-Bot is as big as several other bots put together, partly because he is several bots put together. His size, strength, adaptability, and most of all his never-say-die-attitude mean he can always be counted on to pull his weight when things get tough.

The exact nature of his relationship with his "bird" and "turtle" is about as unclear as their species. What we know is that their combined command post mode serves as Hauler-Bot's built-in Go-Brillium supercharger, capable of bestowing incredible powers upon his teammates. Are they his pets? Or do they all share a single consciousness? Stop asking questions! GO, GO, GO-BOTS!

[edit]
High Tide has got nothing on this guy.
  • Hauler-Bot (Super Go-Bot, 2003)
  • Accessories: "bird", "turtle"
Hauler-Bot was the largest Go-Bots toy to be released, being nearly the size of Supreme-sized figures. His vehicle mode is a huge articulated "trailer truck", able to carry a Basic Go-Bots toy both on the cab and on the trailer. The cab converts into Hauler-Bot's robot mode with the semi-automated transformation typical of Go-Bots; in his case, lowering his legs causes his head to pop out.
His trailer is formed by two robot animals: a "bird" (actually a Pteranodon) and a "turtle" (actually an adorable wheeled Ankylosaur).[1] They can also form a standalone "command post" with room for one smaller Go-Bot; the bird's mouth opens to create a radar dish, while its tail folds down to reveal a control panel.
Uniquely (for Go-Bots, anyway), all three figures can combine into a giant robot, with the "turtle" becoming a leg extension and the "bird" becoming a winged backpack.
Hauler-Bot features electronic lights and sounds. As he goes between modes, he announces "Truck mode activated!", "Robot mode activated!", and "Flight mode activated!" appropriately. In truck mode, pressing the windscreen plays either an engine sound or a horn honking, followed by the phrase "Truck power!" In robot mode, the same button has him loop between "Go-Go-Go-Bots!", "Robot power!", "Go-Bots, assemble!" and "Go-Bots power!" His eyes and headlights flash red.
Compared to the stock photography used on the toy's packaging, the bird's tail is dark blue on the final release, but light blue in the photo.

Notes

[edit]
Almost makes him look cool, doesn't it?
  • Fast-Bot and his partners have a color scheme that matches Hauler-Bot, so perhaps they were intended to go together?
  • The concept art for Hauler-Bot has him working a little differently: Speed-Bot is shown resting high on the trailer, with his wheels hooked into little indents on the upper curve of the "bird" wings.[2]
