His friend Jacques Ruisseau, then assistant to the artistic director Serge Luguen, encouraged the latter to entrust Pierre Hatet with the title role of the ''Mannix'' series, played by Mike Connors.

Pierre Hatet (April 20, 1930 - May 24, 2019) was a French actor who was very active in voice acting.

Interested in theater, Pierre Hatet attended classes at the Center of Dramatic Art before entering the Conservatory. Actor and director Jean Vilar noticed him and introduced him to the world of classical theater, where he performed dramatic pieces for radio and television before starting dubbing. His friend Jacques Ruisseau, then assistant to the artistic director Serge Luguen, encouraged the latter to entrust Pierre Hatet with the title role of the Mannix series, played by Mike Connors.

In dubbing, he was the regular French voice of Christopher Lloyd, notably in the Back to the Future saga, in which his performance as Emmett Brown has become very famous in France. He was also the voice of the message in the Mission: Impossible series between 1966 and 1973.

Regarding other media, his more famous roles include The Joker in numerous DC Comics projects such as Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League and the Arkham videogames, The Brain in Animaniacs and Pinky And The Brain, and Gomez in The Mysterious Cities of Gold.
