The name or term "Chris" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Chris (disambiguation).
At least he doesn't have to worry about parking.

Chris Ryall (born April 2, 196?) is an American publisher and former editor in chief of IDW Publishing, later serving as president and chief creative officer. He used to be depicted in the letters column as wearing an Alternators Windcharger costume.

Do not bring up All Hail Megatron.

Similarly, being able to get work—PAYING work—for as many of the people that got left hanging by DW also made me feel good. It's not often you get a chance to make up for other peoples' wrongs, but in this case, we had that chance. I liken it to when you sit in class being taught by some moron, and you think "if I'm ever a teacher, I swear I won't be like this buffoon, I'll treat people properly and do things right."[1]

Ryall was also the co-writer for IDW's 2016 revival of ROM, part of the Revolution event uniting various Hasbro properties into a single universe.

Ryall announced he was leaving IDW in 2018 for other opportunities,[2] and was succeeded as editor in chief by John Barber.[3]

Less than a year later, he rejoined IDW as president, publisher, and chief creative officer.[4] Ryall left the company once more in 2020.[5]

Notes

[edit]
  • During his time as a poorly-compensated extra student at Angel Grove High, Ryall was once assaulted by Bulk and Skull.[6]
