2005 IDW continuity

[edit]

Shortly before the Lost Light left Cybertron for the second time, Fervor was among the patrons in Swerve's who were entertained by Trailcutter's antics with his magnawheels. No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases

When Getaway was sounding out which of the crew would join him in a mutiny, Fervor was an 'undecided'. Filling in the Blanks

About a year later, Ultra Magnus assigned Fervor and Kindle to guard the Lost Light's shuttle bay when he learnt Froid was keeping Sunder, also known as the "Tetrahex Ripper", prisoner aboard his ship. When Rung returned Froid to the shuttle bay to see him off, Fervor called it in to Magnus. Speak, Memory: Part 1

Fervor and Kindle tried to stop Sunder from hurting Rung and Skids. Unfortunately for them, a quick glance from Sunder and they were forced to rip themselves inside out.

They were presumably fixed after the adventure Speak, Memory! (Part 2) but if so, Fervor's undecided stance could mean he was one of the twenty five Autobots considered a security risk and fed to his old enemy Sunder, all memory erased after. Filling in the Blanks

Notes

[edit]
  • Though never stated in the comics, James Roberts stated on Twitter that Fervor and Kindle are Pyrobots.[1]
  • Line artist Hayato Sakamoto envisioned Fervor with a helicopter vehicle alt-mode. Sakamoto also sketched Fervor in red and Kindle in orange, but colorist Joana Lafuente switched this setup in the final issue.[2]
