Teletraan-X (Cyberverse)

Teletraan-X is a fussy Autobot drone from the Cyberverse continuity family.

"My name is Leonard Church, and you will fear my LASER FACE!"

Teletraan-X is essentially a sentient back-up hard drive for Teletraan-1. While it wants to be helpful, its programming forbids it from helping anyone who is not a crew member aboard the Ark, a fact that it continually reminds everybody of.

It's quite hilarious, really.

Teletraan-X was created as a backup hard drive for Teletraan-1 should the main computer go off-line for any reason. When the Ark tracked the AllSpark to Earth, the ship suffered a malfunction as Teletraan-1 entered the organic world's atmosphere. Unable to course correct, Teletraan-1 brought Teletraan-X online and ejected it from the ship. King of the Dinosaurs

Teletraan-X spent the next 66 million years searching for any sign of the Ark or the crew, Matrix of Leadership King of the Dinosaurs Awaken Sleeping Giants until he was found by Slipstream's squad who used him as the bait in a trap for Bumblebee, the only one on Earth whom the drone would respond to. When the Seekers began their torture of Windblade and Bumblebee, however, the drone's programming compelled it to defend the Autobots, using its forcefield to knock down the Decepticons. Joining the duo in their escape attempt, Bumblebee and Teletraan-X were forced to leave Windblade behind. Teletraan-X

Ever chipper, Teletraan-X spent the next four and a half hours recounting human history before Bumblebee outright asked him where the Ark was. Information that Teletraan... didn't know. Noticing that Bumblebee carried a cortical psychic patch with him, the drone offered to help the scout make sense of his jumbled memories. Within the scout's brain, Teletraan-X drew his attention to his memories of Optimus Prime, showing that even the greatest of heroes could come from humble origins and weren't infallible. Inspired, Bumblebee set out to rescue Windblade with Teletraan in tow. Matrix of Leadership By the time the two arrived back at the missile complex, Windblade had already freed herself (mostly) and the trio made good on their escape. As they fled, Windblade revealed her data mining had allowed her to learn of another Autobot on Earth, buried somewhere on the planet. Siloed

The Autobot turned out to be Grimlock. After Teletraan-X explained how he and Grimlock had been spared the Ark's crash, the drone guided Bumblebee and Windblade into using a nearby city's power grid to revive their comrade only for the Dinobot's beast mode instincts to take over and guide him away from the city. Following Grimlock, the three found he had created a base for himself, the sight of it jogging his memories and allowing him to return to robot mode. King of the Dinosaurs

Using the equipment of Grimlock's base, Teletraan-X was able to pick up two Decepticon warships which Shockwave intended to use to eradicate all life on Earth. Figuring out that they needed only to stop one ship, Teletraan-X flew the group to the North Pole via a stolen human cargo plane and served as their getaway pilot once the Decepticon scheme had been thwarted. Back at Grimlock's base, the Dinobot revealed a map of Pangaea which Teletraan-X used to pinpoint the Ark's location. As they neared Mount St. Hilary however, the Seekers attacked crashing their plane. In the ensuing battle, Teletraan-X found himself seized by Grimlock as a lobbing ball to use against Thundercracker. As he picked himself up, Teletraan-X overheard Starscream telling Slipstream that the Decepticon fleet was nearing Earth. Soon breaching the volcano, the Autobot quartet found the Ark. Entering with Bumblebee, Teletraan-X found the hibernation bay and plugged himself into a data terminal where he tearfully discovered Teletraan-1 had gone offline, far beyond the ability to recover. Realizing his role as Teletraan-1's successor, Teletraan-X began uploading himself into the mainframe, but was shot down by Shadow Striker, destroying his body. The upload however had been a success and, after some initial difficulties in manipulating a mainframe so vast, Teletraan-X was able to assume full control of the Ark, raising its shields in time to protect the craft from an eruption triggered by Shockwave's magnetic disruptor and then turning its armaments on the Decepticons. With the Decepticons gone, Teletraan-X repositioned the ship slightly and awoke the rest of the crew. There was no chance for a respite however as his sensors then picked up Starscream's fleet bearing down on the Ark. Eruption

Optimus ordered Teletraan-X to aid Bumblebee in his search for the “yellow beast thing”, and Teletraan cheerfully explained to Bee that nothing lives on the Moon, then suggested that what Bumblebee saw on the Moon was a banana, and continued to explain bananas while Bumblebee walked away. Teletraan-X reported the successful distraction of the Decepticons, which bought the Autobots enough time to launch the Ark. After a successful launch, Teletraan announced the Ark was on course for the space bridge, and then Cybertron, to the elation of the bridge crew. He later alerted the Autobots to the approach of Sky-Byte, followed by the Nemesis. The Nemesis fired on the Ark, and Teletraan reported damage across numerous decks. Escape From Earth

At the party the Autobots threw in the Ark’s hangar, Teletraan-X deployed his drone, announcing it was time to celebrate “Earth style”, summoning a disco ball from the ceiling and playing human music. When the Autobots began to fight, driven mad by Starscream’s sabotage of Wheeljack’s AllSpark emitter badges, Teletraan frantically summoned Optimus. He turned off the Earth music, hoping it would calm the melee, but the Autobots continued to tear each other apart. Activating his shield, he attempted to bonk the Autobots into submission, but was tossed around to be caught by Optimus. Upon discovering Starscream’s actions, Teletraan went with Optimus and Bumblebee to disable the AllSpark emitter, using the Ark’s fire suppression systems to subdue Grimlock. He later collected the AllSpark emitter badges when the partygoers returned to normal, throwing them into space. Party Down

When the Ark entered an asteroid field, Teletraan reported as such. At Optimus’ request, he plotted a course around the asteroid field. Wiped Out

Teletraan talked to Starscream about his feelings, but cut off his incensed rantings when the session ended, to Starscream’s further irritation. On the bridge of the Ark, Teletraan cheerily reported that he had found Windblade, who had stolen the AllSpark. Further psychoanalyzing Starscream, Teletraan expands his cell by 15% as a show of trust. Unfortunately, Starscream manipulated Teletraan’s trust, and when Teletraan expanded the cell by another 4%, Starscream escaped through a frightfully unsecure vent, much to Teletraan’s dismay. As the Seeker fled the Ark, Teletraan urged him to return to his cell. Ghost Town

When Optimus ordered a status report, Teletraan reported nothing of import. When an electromagnetic storm hit the Ark, Teletraan was ejected, and later made his way back to the Ark, braving a flock of Air Hammers, a comet storm, and being shot at, and was found tapping at an airlock by Arcee and Grimlock. He reactivated the ship, awakening the crew and raising the shields, saving the ship from an incoming supernova. Perfect Storm

On Optimus’ orders, Teletraan-X took the Ark through the derelict space bridge repaired by Wheeljack, which transported the Ark into unspace. He announced the presence of the parallel universe Ark. He later announced the approach of another duplicate Ark. And another, captained by a duplicate Rack’n’Ruin. The Crossroads

When Cheetor remarked that Cybertron was not how he expected it to be, Teletraan confirmed that it was consistent with his records, with the exception of the ruined and derelict parts of the planet. He broadcasted Optimus’ words to the entire crew when he ordered the return to Cybertron. Battle For Cybertron I

Optimus ordered Teletraan to pilot the Ark as a decoy, and to eject should anything happen. Something indeed happened, and the Ark was destroyed by Shockwave’s laser snare, and Teletraan ejected his drone unit. Teletraan interrupted Megatron’s victory speech at the Well of the AllSpark, bonking him on the head with his forcefield and being slapped away for his trouble. Teletraan participated in the ensuing battle, and was attacked by Laserbeak, who was deterred by Whirl. Battle For Cybertron II

Windblade called for Teletraan-X, who emerged from behind cover, happy to see her. He confirmed that the Threshold of the Well was the only intended access to the Well of the AllSpark, but also reported two Autobot signals beneath the Threshold, the captive Chromia and Perceptor. He later discovered Vector Sigma, and reported its location to Windblade. Windblade and Teletraan approached Vector Sigma, and were ambushed from behind by Bludgeon. Teletraan moved to protect Windblade and was struck down, damaged. Battle For Cybertron III

When Wheeljack arrived to destroy Vector Sigma, Teletraan asked him for assistance. Once Vector Sigma had been destroyed, Teletraan recovered from his damage. He later watched in awe as the AllSpark restored Cybertron. Battle For Cybertron IV

At the council meeting following Astrotrain’s dire warning, Teletraan-X confirmed that whatever the threat was, it would probably be bad. He fled in terror when Soundwave sicced Laserbeak on him. Later, when Cybertron was overrun by Tarn and the supersoldiers, Teletraan joined Hot Rod and the other Autobot forces underground to form a plan to take back the planet. When the Autobots and Decepticons battled Tarn’s forces, Teletraan came to Windblade’s defense, distracting a supersoldier, allowing Windblade to dispatch him. When Soundwave sacrificed himself to destroy Tarn, Teletraan looked on in shock. The Perfect Decepticon
