- Fever Dream is a Decepticon Builder from the Beast Wars: Uprising portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Fever Dream is the executive producer of Iacon Communication Service, and he has big plans for it; plans to get the truth to the widest audience possible—the REAL truth, not the "truth" that the "fact-checkers" and "experts" want you to believe. What does it matter that the network's economic statistics came to him while he was recharging, or that their reports on the benevolence of the Vehicons and the routing of the Resistance don't line up with what people see out of their windows? It's his duty to get his vision to the people, regardless of his staff's objections.
Prior to being hard-wired into the Verity Tower, Fever Dream was a Triple Changer with jet and tank alternate modes.

[edit]Fever Dream was in charge of Iacon Communications Services when the Vehicon Apocalypse began. Iacon came under siege from marauding Vehicons who assimilated their victims into more anti-sparked drones, including the Builder Assembly themselves. None of this mattered to Fever Dream, of course, since it wasn't true. As he saw it, everything was fine as the Micromaster 001st defended the High Pavilion and routed the Resistance, all thanks to our friends, the Vehicons.
When his anchor, Rook, refused to get on board with the company line, Fever Dream considered replacing him to do the broadcast himself. After Rook countermanded his instructions on the air, well, Fever Dream had to break in and assure the audience that everything was fine. This was slightly difficult to accomplish when our friends, the Vehicons, blasted into the studio and assimilated all of his staff during the broadcast, but Fever Dream persevered. Even as a Copter Drone plunged its fingers into Fever Dream's chest and released its nano-vector virus, the executive producer made sure the audience knew it was t-t-t-TERMINATE! Derailment

- Decepticon Triple Changers (Platinum Edition, 2015)
- Accessories: "Gyro-Blaster Rifle", "Electron Scimitar", 3 concussion missiles
- Part of a Platinum Edition two-pack with Astrotrain released under the Generations line, this reissue of Blitzwing features an unprecedented light brown and red color scheme. The exact inspiration for this deco is unknown, with the currently prevalent theory being that it's supposedly an homage to the Generation 1 Duocon Flywheels's colors.
- The Platinum Edition duo of Blitzwing and Astrotrain was repurposed in Beast Wars: Uprising continuity as Fever Dream and Star Dasher.
Notes
[edit]- Jim Sorenson has implied that Fever Dream's slipshod approach to journalism was... "inspired" by infamous Fun Publications editor Pete Sinclair,[1] along with elements of on-and-off antagonist of Spider-Man, J. Jonah Jameson.
- Christopher Colgin had plans for a profile of Fever Dream, but this ultimately did not make the final cut.
