The name or term "Cosmos" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Cosmos (disambiguation).
Cosmos is an Autobot from the Adventure portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Cosmos is an Autobot under Ultra Magnus's command and a positive-minded 'bot who's always cheering his friends up, even in the midst of battle. Tasked with recon and communication, he acts as eye in the sky for Magnus's elite unit, coordinating their operations from afar, and sometimes uses his size to carry injured allies to safety within himself. It may not be the most glamorous job in the world, but a valuable one that makes him a core member of the unit and one of Ultra Magnus's most trusted comrades.[1]

  • ID number: TAV20
  • Release date: June 27, 2015
Part of the fourth wave of Takara's Adventure product (their version of the Robots in Disguise series), Adams is a redeco of Generations Legends Class Cosmos, transforming into a UFO. Instead of show-accurate colors, Adams features a deco which is closer to Cosmos's original Generation 1 toy. Paint apps over the visor of the original release replicate his two eyes from the Generation 1 cartoon.
His scannable badge is featured on his right leg (although he has an Autobot insignia on his robot mode chest). Scanning this with the Transformers Chronicle mobile app unlocks the toy to the app's collection list.
This mold was retooled to make Combiner Wars Scrounge.

Notes

[edit]
  • At one point, plans were batted around to include Cosmos in an "Aligned" cartoon (in either the fourth season of Transformers: Prime, or if it was cancelled after three seasons, whatever show replaced it). He would have been a scout for the Star Seekers, forcefully recruited by Thundertron after the pirates invaded and destroyed his home colony world of GoBotron![2] His original altmode would have been a "cool space ship"[3] that became his traditional "flying saucer UFO" form after he scanned a prop from a B-movie set,[4] partially resurrecting an idea from the canceled fourth season of Transformers Animated. Unfortunately(?), the studio rejected the idea outright.
