Turbo Board is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Sadly, Autobot Jazz's Pro Skater never took off as a franchise.

Lacking a vehicle mode as an Action Master, Jazz makes up for his reduced mobility by roaring into battle on Turbo Board. This high-speed stunt machine also packs hefty firepower, transforming into a large destabilizer electromagnetizer gun that disorients foes.

  • Jazz with Turbo Board (Action Master, 1990)
Turbo Board is a cybertronic skateboard that came with the Action Master incarnation of Jazz. Foot pegs on its topside allow it to be used as a stand by any normal Action Master figure. Pressing a trigger on its rear section spring-launches a flip-out (non-firing) twin blaster. The entire front section of the board can rotate around to better form its handheld destabilizer electromagnetizer gun mode. Its blaster mode can be extended by attaching any carded Action Master's rifle between the twin barrels.

Transformers Trading Card Game

Sadly, playing this card does not cause "Bring Me To Life" to play.

Private Turbo Board, Air Command-Evac is one of fifty-two double-sided character cards available in Wave 4 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, War for Cybertron: Siege II. As a Battle Master, Private Turbo Board, Air Command-Evac begins the game in Bot Mode. Instead of being sent to the KO Area once its Health drops to zero, the card is flipped to the Upgrade side, becoming the Anti-Gravity Turbo Pack, and equipped in the Weapons slot of another character on the player's side of the battlefield. In order to represent Turbo Board's size as a Battle Master, the card is the size of a battle card, about half the size of a normal character card.
Instead of changing from rocket-powered skateboard to gun like the original Action Master Partner, Private Turbo Board, Air Command-Evac depicts the character having a bestial Bot Mode based on an Anomalocaris (an ancient relative of arthropods from Earth's Cambrian period) that converts into a hover-board based on the original toy's skateboard mode. The line-art for both sides was drawn by Ken Christiansen.

Notes

[edit]
  • Turbo Board's status as a mere weapon/vehicle is... debatable. Jazz's bio refers to it as both a "partner" and a "sidekick," but no mention of its intelligence level is made. Such wording implies it might at least be a semi-intelligent drone, but that is supposition. As noted in the merchandise section, the Transformers Card Game would later expand upon the character and even give it a bestial robot mode.
