Shinya Ohira (大平 晋也 Ohira Shinya, born December 12, 1966) is a Japanese artist, animator, writer and director. A former member of Studio OX, during the 80s he mainly worked on mecha anime including Panzer World Galient and Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos. Later in his career, Ohira became most famous for his sequences in the film Kill Bill, the Kid's Story short from The Animatrix, and several Studio Ghibli films such as Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. He provided story page illustrations which appeared in TV Magazine and Comic BomBom for the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers and Transformers 2010 franchises.
