After being captured by the Autobots, Rumble was paraded onto a plank above the smelting pool, where he was charged with several "crimes" against the Autobot Imperium. Upon being asked how he would plead, Rumble merely retorted, "Blow it out your exhaust pipes!".

However, before he could be executed, they were interrupted by Cliffjumper, who had just arrived and was outraged and confused as to what was going on. Optimus Prime was confused for a second, but then remembered that his mirror-universe incarnation had taken great pleasure in torturing prisoners. So the maniacal Autobot commander gave him the dubious honor of executing Rumble. Cliffjumper refused, so Optimus blew several holes through him; Rumble's ultimate fate was never shown, but he presumably didn't walk free. Shattered Glass

Later on Earth, Goldbug battled Frenzy, having trouble telling him and his brother apart. Goldbug muttered that he should have finished Frenzy/Rumble/whoever when he had a chance earlier. Eye in the Sky
