Frank is a human from the Generation 1 cartoon continuity.
Years later, he would go into the TV repair business.

Frank is a power plant worker. Sometimes he's a policeman.

Fiction

[edit]

The Transformers cartoon

[edit]
Voice actor: Corey Burton (English), ? (Japanese), Gregg Berger (English, "Transformers 40th Anniversary Event"), Olivier Destrez (European French), Marco Moreira (Portuguese, "Generation 2", Audio News Dub),

The power plant worker and Joe were on their way to work at the power plant when their truck was mistaken for a possible Autobot by Thundercracker and Reflector. Thundercracker radioed this information back to Megatron, who sent Ravage to investigate.

The two arrived at the power plant to find it in shambles. The power plant worker commented that it looked like a tornado went through, but Joe thought there might be more to it than that. Just then, Ravage attacked, tackling each of them to the ground. They somehow managed to escape in their truck, but were in such a hurry they left their hard hats behind. More than Meets the Eye, Part 1

Transformers/Ghostbusters

[edit]

Upon finding the "Ecto-1" haphazardly parked in Prospect Park, policeman Frank attempted to ticket the Ghostbusters's vehicle, despite fellow policeman Tim attempting to dissuade him. The vehicle itself took action and lit the ticket on fire, convincing Frank to let things be. Ghosts of Cybertron Part 1

Notes

[edit]
  • Frank was not named in his appearance in the cartoon; his name comes from Transformers/Ghostbusters, published decades later. Since Joe was instead named "Tim" in Transformers/Ghostbusters, it's possible that his name isn't "Frank" in the cartoon's universe.
  • Joe and his coworker have the distinction of being the first humans in the original cartoon to make contact with the Transformers.
  • Frank's character design is based on David Russell.[1]
