Mando paper is a higher-quality stock paper on which the original Marvel Comics four-issue Transformers limited series was printed. Previously, comics were printed on cheaper newsprint-grade paper, but in the Eighties, Marvel began switching its titles to Mando paper, which was less acidic, whiter, and sturdier. The use of Mando paper was advertised in early Transformers solicitations.
