This article is about the Mini-Con. For the Titan Master with a similarly-sounding name, see Doombox.
Boombox is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the movie continuity family.
So C-81 took out his Mini-Con
And hit the TURBO BASS

Seeing as he transforms into Megatron's C-81's fusion cannon, Boombox spend most of his time fastened to his leader's arm, or atop his vehicle mode.

TransTech

[edit]

In one possible timeline, Megatron came to have three Mini-Con companions, Boombox, Heavyweight, and Scalpel. The whole lot of them were transported to Axiom Nexus when Megatron plummeted off a space bridge after a battle against Rodimus Prime. Though Boombox and the other Mini-Cons were identified by the TransTechs, they overlooked Megatron himself, believing his truck mode to simply be a derelict heap. Botcon 2015 Megatron's bio card

Boombox continued to help his boss in Axiom Nexus, though he wasn't much of a talker. When Megatron, now calling himself "C-81", and his new entourage were running from the local police force after a botched theft, the group was held up by a crowd of Seekers. C-81 brandished Boombox about, in his fusion cannon mode, in an attempt to make the crowd before them disperse. This only paralyzed the Seekers with fear, allowing law enforcement officers to catch up to the group. Soon after, "Cybertron's most wanted" were taken into custody by the police and brought to the offworlder maximum security prison. Inside, Boombox stretched his legs a for a short while in his gorilla mode.

The group escaped, and eventually found themselves in the middle of a Waruder nest deep underground. The group were then engaged in battle with some Waruder soldiers. C-81 used Boombox to blast away a number of the Waruder intruders before the battle ended in peaceful negotiations. Boombox and the rest of Cybertron's most wanted were later allowed to go free in thanks for their help in repelling the Waruders. Cybertron's Most Wanted
