- The hangar is a Decepticon operations center from the cartoon portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The hangar is located on the grounds of a commercial airport. It is one of many, distinguished only by the fact that the Decepticons decided to make it one of their extra bases. How the airport staff didn't notice that one of their hangars was occupied or that there were military jets flying in and out is a mystery for the ages.

[edit]Following a failed attempt to steal the Ultra Plane blueprints, Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave returned to the hangar. Coincidentally, the hangar was located at the airport Spike, Carly, and Bumblebee had to go to to pick up Sparkplug Witwicky. Spike spotted military jets, Thundercracker and Thrust, enter the hangar and got suspicious. He and Bumblebee investigated and found out about the Decepticon base. Upon warning Optimus Prime, the Autobot leader sent the Dinobots to assist at the airport.

The Dinobots barged into the Decepticon base with their usual finesse, dealing with most of the Decepticons while Bumblebee tussled outside with Blitzwing. When Thundercracker and Thrust attacked from the air, Swoop dropped a set of missiles on them, causing them to crash into the hangar and ruin it utterly after the Dinobots' thrashing. The Decepticons got back at the Dinobots for it, but had to withdraw afterwards. Later, the hangar (as it was before the Decepticons got to it) was among the structures at the airport that the Autobots repaired. Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 1
