When the Primes' advisor, Sentinel, betrayed them in exchange for power over Cybertron, he lead his masters to a distant cave, where they were ambushed by a horde of Quintesson soldiers. Though the Primes almost overpowered their attackers, the arrival of the traitorous Sentinel turned the tide in favor of the Quintessons, and the Primes were slaughtered.
