Synopsis
Ignite Leo, intrigued by Optimus Prime being the so called "hero" from the outside world, challenges the Autobot Leader to a duel, striking first with a flurry of attacks that puts his opponent in a disadvantaged situation. Lightlong tries to reason with his fellow Animal Tribe member, but his pleas fall on deaf audio sensors as he's quickly knocked down. Realizing that Ignite Leo is beyond reason, he undergoes Wildocking with Optimus into Lightning Optimus, who attempts to quickly defeat Ignite Leo with a sword beam made of Lightning Energy, but is neutralized by Spirituan's Earth Defense summoning a boulder to neutralize it.
Ignite Leo asks if Optimus Prime is the offworlder he's heard about and immediately challenges him to a fight, quickly striking the off guard Autobot from multiple directions. Lightlong tries to step between them and stop the fight, but is immediately knocked down instead. His attempt at diplomacy having failed, Lightlong quickly Wildocks with Optimus and reforms their Lightning Optimus combination to answer Ignite Leo's challenge. They once again charge up and fire their Lightlong Slash attack, but find it quite ineffective against the stone wall Spirituan raises with his Earth Defense. He then mocks the two about Ground Energy being immune to Lightning, saying you must know type match-ups to win a battle.

Seizing on the opportunity his partner granted, Ignite Leo knocks down Lightning Optimus with relative ease while calling out the latters' ineptitude with knowing his Elemental Energy matchups. As the lion Energy Beast moves in for the finishing blow, Hydrophant, who had been watching the duel from the sidelines, finally musters up the courage to protect Lightlong and Optimus, transforming into his robot mode to fire a stream of water that Ignite Leo is forced to dodge, and declaring that while he may hate fighting, he will stand up to what he treasures.
Ignite Leo takes the opening to leap over the wall for an attack, joining Spirituan in mocking his opponents' type match-up knowledge. Hydrophant cries out as Ignite Leo lands a devastating sword strike and as the lion prepares to end the fight, Hydrophant at last manages to gather up his courage and transforms into his robot mode to join the fight. He fires a giant stream of water at Ignite Leo to interrupt him, and declares to Optimus Prime he will heed his words to rise to the occasion and defend those he holds dear. Optimus's chest begins to glow just as Megatron's did in their earlier fight, and Lightlong says it is from the strength of the bond Optimus and Hydrophant have forged. Optimus asks Hydrophant to lend his strength and is obliged—Hydrophant Wildocks with Lightning Optimus to form the triple combination Lightning Aqua Optimus! Ignite Leo is stunned by the triple combination, which leaves Lightning Aqua Optimus an opening to blast him with his powerful Hydro Thunder Splash attack. Ignite Leo is launched back and hits the rock wall, falling defeated as Lightlong remarks that his fire element can't beat the water element and returns the earlier mocking about type match-ups.

This declaration, inspired by Optimus' pep talk earlier, forged a bond between the elephant Energy Beast and the Energy Master, allowing them to further combine into Lightning Aqua Optimus, which briefly intrigues Ignite Leo before he is defeated by the combined form's stream of electrically charged water.
Lightlong interrogates Ignite Leo about why he attacked them and Ignite Leo begs forgiveness for the affair. The two Energy Beasts simply wished to see the strength of the supposed hero of legend, and seek to prevent anybody from obtaining the Element Shield. Lightlong is shocked and remembers Megatron had previously said he was after that very shield. Optimus asks what it is, and Spirituan says that according to the Dinosaur Tribe, it is an ancient wall that hides something that would give whoever breaches it strength beyond anything they've known. He however senses something else within it, something evil. Then suddenly, a bright purple glow flares up in the sky and Spirituan is hit by some sort of energy blast. He feels somebody intruding inside his mind and struggles against it before being dragged off into the air before his stunned companions.

After the battle, Lightlong confronts Ignite Leo over his attack earlier, which the latter apologizes for, saying he just wants to test Optimus' power and halt attempts to get the Element Shield, which Spirituan elaborates on: it is a wall that has existed for a long time that blocks off access to more power, or it is believed to by the Dinosaur Tribe, the Spinosaurus doesn't seem to wholeheartedly trust the belief as he senses something evil from it. Shortly afterwards, a mysterious purple energy attacked Spirituan from above, briefly attemping to mess with his mind before abducting him away from the others.
Sometime later, Spirituan awakens and finds himself forcibly Wildocked with Megatron as his left arm! Captain Volca welcomes him as Leafback and another Dinosaur tribesman stand near in dinosaur mode, Megatron remarking that all the pieces are now in place...

When Spirituan came to, he was forcefully wildocked to Megatron's left arm, opposite Captain Volca, who welcomed him to Megatron's team, and the Decepticon Leader declares the pieces are in place...
