Galactic Man is an Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family (via AAE).

Galactic Man (银河人 Yínhé Rén), aka TC-Shockwave is an interstellar drifting clone. He suffers from severe defects in his memory modules, causing them to reboot every four million years, adapting to a different name and identity each time. The only constant is his original designation code: 4C-AM.

While produced before the independent character's creation, the literally labeled Generations Selects Galactic Man Shockwave would be obtuse to exclude here.

A Generations Selects add-on to Siege, "Galactic Man Shockwave" is a redeco of War for Cybertron: Siege Leader Class Shockwave homaging the colors of RadioShack's "Galactic Man" toy, down to the "Galactic Man" name across the upper chest. The accessories use black as opposed to the dark grey of the main figure. Unlike the Siege figure, Galactic Man Shockwave lacks battle-damage paint.

It is incredibly likely that the "RS" in his weapons' names is a reference to RadioShack. Like, how could it not be?

• This character was created by Auldey designer Lam Ahtek, who wrote the backstory in homage to the history of ToyCo's 1983 toy 4 Changeable Astro Magnum, which was licensed for release in the United States by RadioShack as "Galactic Man" prior to being given a new deco by Hasbro as The Transformers Shockwave in 1985. (In an interview, Lam even almost called the character "Shackwave" at first.) The Transformers character was originally called "4 Changeable Astro Magnum", then "4-Changeable Spark Man", and finally "Galactic Man". Lam felt that, historically, Galactic Man and Shockwave existed in parallel, so this name works better as this page title.
• Lam clarified that this character does not necessarily have to be a Decepticon. Since each reboot gives him a new personality, he might end up as either a hero or a villain.
• "TC" stands for "ToyCo," while "4C-AM" means "4 Changable Astro Magnum."
• As it happens, long before Hasbro and Auldey revived the pre-Transformers deco for Transformers-branded items, the Astro Magnum/Galactic Man color scheme was at one point considered for use in the 1984 Generation 1 cartoon, as evidenced by a character model shown off by Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster at TFcon Los Angeles. At this very early point in the character's development, Shockwave went by the name "Flash Beam," also used in the script for the first episode of the cartoon.
