Hi, I'm Overload, not the other car-carrier guy.
  • Overload (Micromaster Transport, 1989/1990)
  • Takara name: Roadjet
  • Takara ID number: C-337
  • Accessories: Trailer/jet
Released in the sixth year of Hasbro's US The Transformers toyline (fifth in European markets), Overload transforms into a blue semi cab pulling a grey and red car carrier trailer. The trailer can haul up to four Micromasters, two on the upper deck and two more on the lower deck, accessible via a fold-down ramp. However, there is no securing mechanism for the top level, so any passengers up there are in for quite a ride. The carrier converts to a jet mode, with an open cockpit that Overload can sit in. A "front bar" swings over him so he doesn't come flying out.
The car carrier toy was sold by Takara as the "Micro TF DX" vehicle & Micro Transformer "Roadjet" the following year, during the Zone portion of the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline. The trailer is identical to the Hasbro release, while the pilot figure has a slight paint change, having a silver truck grill rather than black.

Notes

[edit]
  • As with most Micromaster accessories, the name "car carrier trailer" comes from the toy's instructions.
