During the Fallen's display of power, he and several protoforms destroyed the USS Theodore Roosevelt with the Fallen gloating on top of the sinking ship's propellers. Later, after receiving coordinates from Major William Lennox, General Morshower dispatched a battlegroup led by the USS John C. Stennis to the Gulf of Aqaba to provide backup. During Operation: Firestorm, the battle group dispatched F/A-18s, AAVs, AH-1 helicopters and LCACs carrying tanks and infantry fighting vehicles to the aid of NEST. Later, Seymour Simmons contacted the Stennis demanding that Captain Wilder listen to him in order to stop Devastator. Wilder finally listened and at Simmons request, ordered one of the battle group's destroyers, the USS Kidd to prepare its railgun.
