- Japanese ID number:
- Known designers: Alex Androski (deco artist)
- Nightbeat is a redeco of the Scout Class Dead End, transforming into a modified blue and tan Peugeot 9009 concept car. His license plate reads "NGTB34T." In addition to his otherwise fairly normal articulation, his jaw can open to reveal rows of jagged teeth.
- This mold was also used to make Revenge of the Fallen Slap Dash.
Notes
[edit]- Of course, his bio and look make him an homage to the Generation 1 Nightbeat, even though the toy was originally conceived as an homage to Packrat, according to his deco artist. Marketing felt the name "Packrat" wouldn't appeal enough to children, and "Nightbeat" was the fallback name. The deco on the sides was subsequently changed to flames, along with the name on the license plate, but the gold still hints of Packrat's influence.
