Chromedome and the Horrorcons duke it out for control of the Charge Arrow, a legendary weapon of unfathomable power!

Synopsis

[edit]

On some alien planet, the Horrorcons Apeface and Snapdragon have found the Tower of Omega rising out of the ocean. Within it lies the Charge Arrow, a one-shot weapon that possesses the accumulated power of every possible energy resource. They transform to jet-mode and fly toward the top of the tower.

Chrome and Daniel are already there, though! Using a key to open a chest, Chrome remarks that he can't believe the legend of the Charge Arrow is true. As Chrome pulls the ornate bow and arrow out of the chest, Daniel exclaims that they can use its power to finally defeat the Decepticons. Feeling cocky, Chrome remarks that with such a powerful weapon at his command, he will be the greatest warrior in the universe.

Suddenly, Apeface and Snapdragon arrive and transform to their monster modes, demanding Chrome fork over the Charge Arrow. Chrome connects with his Transtector to become Chromedome and slowly draws and aims the Charge Arrow. The Horrorcons laugh and tell him he's not good enough to control the energies within the Charge Arrow, and indeed, the arrow fizzles out and refuses to respond. The Horrorcons then attack and beat him senseless.

Slipping out of consciousness, Chrome suddenly has a vision of his Chromedome form talking to him. Chromedome tells Chrome that he is a hero worthy of wielding the energy of the Charge Arrow, but only if he believes it himself. As the Horrorcons approach Daniel menacingly, Chromedome comes to at the sound of his screams. Fueled by the need to save his friend, Chromedome fires the arrow and lands it directly between Apeface's eyes. The arrow then releases a tremendous amount of energy into Apeface and Snapdragon, sending their flaming bodies crashing down into the sea.

Daniel thanks Chromedome, but then asks him if he regrets losing the Charge Arrow. Chromedome tells Daniel that a true hero is not made by his weapons but by his own courage, skill and sense of duty.

Notes

[edit]
  • Boy it... sure looks like the Horrorcons died, doesn't it? But considering they stick around through the last episode of the series, "The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 2)", it appears they "got better".
