- The helicopter is a Decepticon Micromaster vehicle from the toyline portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Skyhopper likes to see things blow up, so just why he was given command of the helicopter is a bit unclear. It is a heavily armed and massive craft, equipped with a sonic cannon that destroys its targets with the power of sound... but that's not the same as blowing them up. The helicopter converts to a battle base with a circuitry-destroying molecular disrupter cannon... but destroying circuits and disrupting molecules aren't really the same as blowing them up, either. There's no fire, and no earth-shattering kaboom. Skyhopper's gotta be one frustrated 'bot.
