THERE IS NO PLACE TO RUN, ALL THE FUSES IN THE EXIT SIGNS HAVE BEEN BURNED OUTTTTTT!!

Most Autobots were created for other purposes before choosing to turn their skills to fight the Decepticons. By contrast, the Ultimate Autobots would have been created for no purpose other than war, with an intent of forcing a swift, brutal end to the war that would do less harm to Earth than a prolonged struggle.

Marvel The Transformers comics

[edit]
The Ultimate Autobots appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

In response to the Decepticons' creation of the Constructicons, Prowl suggested that the Autobots use the Creation Matrix to create their own supersoldiers, the "Ultimate Autobots", and wipe out the Decepticons. Optimus Prime refused, haunted by the vision of the Autobots strip-mining human energy sources to fuel these juggernauts. He felt the ends did not justify the means; humans must be protected first, and he vowed to never create new life simply to bolster their fighting force.

Optimus Prime waffled on this decision as Prowl continued to argue the merits of a swift, decisive victory, but eventually reaffirmed his refusal to pervert the purpose of the Creation Matrix. Crisis of Command!

There will be no dedicated Autobot warriors! That is my decision.Optimus Prime, "Crisis of Command!"

Unfortunately, some time later, when the tide of war began to turn against the Autobots, Prime was forced to reverse his decision, and use the Matrix to create a new team of warriors, the Aerialbots. The Return of the Transformers
