The Battle for Iacon was the climatic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons that finally concluded the Great War. It started after Megatron used the "False Calm" strategy to reach Cybertron unnoticed, where his troops attempted to capture the space bridge nexus in Iacon by force. The Autobots were led into battle by Ultra Magnus, and the Decepticons by Megatron.

[edit]The Autobots won the battle, though at the cost of all remaining Omega Sentinels. Omega Supreme seemed to last the longest of the Sentinels, and was ultimately the one to turn the tide. Gamma Supreme was taken down by Megatron himself, while Beta Supreme and Eta Supreme were destroyed by the monstrous Blackout. Hot Spot Major refused to leave Eta Supreme, and had to be dragged out by his crew. Sigma Supreme and Omega Supreme were locked into modified stasis. Warpath was badly injured, but he recovered. Longrack Major was less fortunate, as he perished along with his Omega Sentinel. Many Reflectors were offlined, but the originals survived. Blackout was heavily damaged by Beta Supreme, and took many cycles to be repaired. The city of Iacon itself was devastated during the battle, but would eventually be rebuilt.
