However, for these comics, [[Million Publishing]] chose to shake things up on a creative level, with Issue 1 being written and drawn by [[Hidetsugu Yoshioka]], Issue 2 being written and drawn by [[Naoto Tsushima]] and Issue 3 being written by [[Simon Furman]] and drawn by [[Guido Guidi]] (yes, you read that right, sports fans!).

Unlike the Hasbro version of this line, the toys in the Henkei! Henkei! line come with several mini-comics, usually promoting the toys they are sold with. All the comics are written and drawn by Naoto Tsushima.

Compared to past Japanese series, this comic presents the Henkei! universe as a new continuity, rather than shoehorning it somewhere into the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity. An on-going monthly Henkei! series was published in Comic BunBun, but due to events that occur in chapter 4 compared to volume 4, neither share continuity with each other.
