A retrieval beacon generator, also known as a homing beacon generator is a vital component of space bridge technology. Why, without a retrieval beacon generator, you'd just transwarp randomly around space. It can also work remotely, causing transwarped objects to return to it.

[edit]While rummaging through the remains of the Decepticon base for a plasma dynamic thruster, Bumblebee found a retrieval beacon generator. He almost threw it away, but Bulkhead, being a space bridge expert, recognized its importance and stowed it. After Bumblebee was transwarped away by the thruster, Bulkhead had Sari Sumdac repair the device using her AllSpark Key so that hopefully the generator would lock onto the thruster and return Bumblebee to Earth. It eventually picked up Bumblebee's Transwarp signal and brought him back. Unfortunately, it also brought back the Rock Lord that had swallowed him. TransWarped
