The Decepticons set up a command bunker in back-woods Nebraska atop a seam of Ore-13. Infiltration #5 They later abandoned it in favor of a base in Oregon and the Nebraska base was infiltrated by Stoker. His photographs of the inside of the bunker eventually fell into the hands of the Autobots. Infiltration #3 Ratchet and Bumblebee took three young humans to the Nebraska bunker to investigate it, and Verity Carlo stumbled on human corpses, and Megatron. Infiltration #4 The trio managed to escape before Skywarp and Blitzwing destroyed the bunker. Megatron was unhappy, mainly because he was still in the bunker at the time, and proceeded to trash both Decepticons. Infiltration #5

The Vehicons mined energon in Nebraska. There Megatron reanimated Cliffjumper's corpse with Dark Energon, prompting a rescue attempt by the Autobots. Starscream blew up the mine on Megatron's order, but the Autobots escaped via the GroundBridge as the detonation removed all traces of the mine.
