[edit]

Infantry unit P-21 were wiped out by the Decepticons while researching energy production, and not even as the Decepticons' ultimate aim. Before P-21's operator died, he was hypnotized by Mindwipe to send a message to Athenia indicating that the team had found a new source of energy. This served to lure Rodimus Prime to Earth, so that when a distress call came in from Praum, the Autobot Headmasters would be the only ones available to go there and fall into Scorponok's trap. When Rodimus and Ultra Magnus reached P-21's base and found the entire team dead, they discovered that the team's energy data had been untouched, and realized the entire thing had been a trap.
