This article is about the Autobot from Dark of the Moon. For the Mini-Con from Classics, see Dirt Rocket (Classics).
Dirt Rocket is an Autobot from the movie continuity family.
Is it too late to change my name to Offshoot?

With all of his on-board systems running at maximum speed and his weaponry operating at full effectiveness, Dirt Rocket is an absolute powerhouse... well, except for his cerebral processor. He would often charge into battle with his guns ablaze, but because he's such a darned slow thinker, it occurs too late for him to know when to stop, and this charging all too often ends up leading him straight into trouble that's too deep to swim out of. Luckily for him, this impulsive mindset makes him pretty much impossible for his enemies to predict, and as this (late) train of thought has managed to save his skidplate more than a couple of times, Dirt Rocket is sticking with it.

Dark of the Moon

[edit]
  • Dirt Rocket (Motorcycle, 2011)
Part of the first wave of the small "Motorcycle" size class of the Speed Stars Dark of the Moon "Stealth Force" line, Dirt Rocket is a yellow redeco of High Wire, and is a sport racing motorcycle of indeterminate model. Instead of a robot mode, he features an attack mode with multiple pop-out (non-firing) weapons activated by pulling his rear wheel. His front housing opens up to reveal a pair of blasters and a minigun-ish cannon on each side, the top reveals a large cannon, his seat flips up to reveal a quad-blaster (which doesn't have a clear firing angle), his front lowers, and his taillights extend out.
Unusually for a Hasbro Transformers toyline redeco, Dirt Rocket is a direct color-swap of High Wire, with the red plastic and paint details being replaced by yellow.

Notes

[edit]
  • Dirt Rocket is almost at perfect scale for use with G.I. Joe 3 3/4-inch action figures.
  • He's a yellow motorcycle, and his package art depicts him with a head and body design that's pretty much spot-on to the other Dirt Rocket, so yeah, he's an homage.
