Racer-Bot BETA is a Go-Bot from the Playskool Go-Bots portion of the Go-Bots continuity family.

Racer-Bot BETA picked his hot rodding alternate mode for its style and because its powerful engine matched his hot-blooded demeanor. Of him and his brother, Racer-Bot ALPHA, he is definitely the wilder of the two, though not by much, and it's a mystery as to how they came to be picked as Go-Brillium test subjects. The experiments have imbued them both with strange new powers like the Invisibility Force.

After escaping the lab, Racer-Bot ALPHA and BETA raced through the streets of Botropolis before ALPHA suggested they try out the Interstellar Challenge Course. After racing across half the galaxy, they ended up near the Grand Canyon on Earth. After taking a short cut through a mountain pass, the pair encountered the racers in the Rattlesnake 500 Desert Road Rally. After causing havoc among the racers and spectators, who were only saved by the presence of Aero-Bot, Speed-Bot and Hauler-Bot, the twins attempted to jump the canyon using their Go-Brillium, only to run out halfway across. After the other Go-Bots saved them, the pair apologized for endangering everyone and went back to Botropolis to complete their training. Racer-Bot Road Rally

[edit]
  • Racer-Bot BETA (Glow Bot, 2004)
Racer-Bot BETA is a chunky simplified toy, converting from a robot into an approximation of a 30s-era hot rod with an exposed engine. This engine has a light-up feature when pressed down, available in both modes.
As his brother's toy was delayed, and contrary to normal designations, he was actually released before Racer-Bot ALPHA.

  • Racer-Bot BETA (Invisibility Force, 2004)
Race-Bot BETA was also released the same year without the light gimmick in transparent plastic to simulate the effects of Go-Brilluim.
