[edit]The Heavy Iron was used by Ironhide when he was sent to help evacuate citizens with Ratchet in Detroit from a Decepticon attack. He used this until he had to replace it with the Heavy Iron 2.0 in order to defeat Mixmaster. Unlike its predecessor, the Heavy Iron 2.0 was able to penetrate Mixmaster's shields and destroy him. - There's an inconsistencies between the introduction of these weapons: in the video game adaptation, both weapons are introduced in the 2nd chapter of the game while in the movie, we see again both of these weapons introduced in NEST headquarters and later on, they were used in the Mexican standoff scene.
- In both cases, Wheeljack is the only one to supply these weapons to Ironhide.
- The Heavy Iron's functions are similar to the Ion Displacer from War for Cybertron.
- Also, the Heavy Iron 2.0 functions similarly to the Nucleon Shock Cannon from War for Cybertron.
