[edit]- The name "Vector Oracle" is a portmanteau of Vector Sigma and the Oracle, two major Cybertronian religious figures who both happen to be aspects of the Transformers' god Primus in the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity. Pretty fancy name for a freebie!
- It should come as no surprise then that Vector Oracle himself eventually saw use as Primus there, namely as his original form in the finale to the comic accompanying the Generations Selects toyline.
- As is typical for Takara's promotional Microns, Vector Oracle's continuity of origin is vague. Initially announced as a gift with the purchase of Dark of the Moon toys,[1] his instructions lacked any kind of series subtitle, sporting just a nondescript Transformers logo.[2] He is also labeled as an Arms Micron, a term that uniquely referred to Targetmaster-style Mini-Cons of the Prime and Go! series, the former of which was just beginning at the time of Vector Oracle's release. But, his instructions also show his weapon mode being held by United Kup.
