Magnum's team search for Deathsaurus's base, though he turns down their suggestions that they should split up to look. They swiftly encounter Side Burn, who claims to know where the base is, but before he can tell them (or rather, while he's singing a taunt), he's interrupted by someone shooting at him. The team takes cover, and Magnum asks Ricochet if he can see who's in charge of the attackers. Ricochet is in the process of warning them that they're being outflanked when he's shot down by Starscream. Deathsaurus's troops have arrived. As Starscream gives the order to attack, he's interrupted by Flak unleashing a barrage of missiles, and Magnum orders the Autobots to take the fight to the Decepticons.
As Magnum and his team search for Deathsaurus and his Decepticons, Thunderclash proposes splitting up to cover more ground. Magnum insists on sticking together, when they are interrupted by Side Burn, who proclaims to know where the Decepticons are. Side Burn proceeds to childishly mock the others, when a blast throws him off-balance. Magnum hauls an indignant Side Burn to the side, as the Decepticons begin to attack. Magnum realizes that the Decepticons knew they were coming, having spies all over the area, and has Ricochet scout out for the leader. Ricochet spots Starscream, and tries to relay the information, but the Seeker, mocking the flying Autobot, blasts him with his null-rays, sending him plummeting to the ground. Transforming, he instructs the Decepticons to attack...until he too is blasted out the air by Flak. Magnum orders his troops to attack as well, intending to beat them back to Deathsaurus. Almost as if on cue, the Decepticon leader lands, joining the battle..

They make inroads into dispelling the Decepticons, but Deathsaurus himself picks that moment to make an appearance. Magnum rails at the Warlord for messing with the Combaticons' heads, but Deathsaurus claims he did nothing but give them a better offer, and is backed up by the nearby Combaticons who join in the battle. Though Dion is perturbed by Swindle trying to sell him weapons mid-combat, and Landshark is put off by Onslaught fighting him while taunting Thunder Clash.
Magnum rushes forth to attack Deathsaurus, telling the Decepticon that he will pay for what he did to the Combaticons, believing that he brainwashed him. A bemused Deathsaurus tells him that the Combaticons chose to turn against the Elite Guard, and the Combaticons, having also arrived, confirm his story. Deathsaurus goads Magnum, proclaiming that if the dedicated Combaticons could defect, then so could he; enraged, Magnum rushes forth, knocking back Deathsaurus. Thunderclash, Kup, Dion, Side Burn, and Landshark engage the Combaticons, trying to keep them from merging into Bruticus. Meanwhile, Flak, Outback, and Moonracer gather around Ricochet, who was mortally injured in his fall. The rookie Autobot asks if he did good, and when the others assure him, he takes comfort in that as he dies. There is no time to mourn, however, as Lyzack, armed with Leozack's blade, engages them. Side Burn is momentarily distracted by the female Decepticon, allowing Blast Off to take him down. As the other Autobots fall before them, Onslaught orders the Combaticons to merge into Bruticus to finish them off. But before their combination can be completed, they're blasted apart by an unseen party, one that Dion can't believe he's seeing...

Meanwhile Outback, Flak and Moonracer watch as Ricochet dies of his injuries. They barely have time to mourn before a furious Lyzack appears, wielding Leozack's sword. Side Burn is momentarily distracted by the sight, and is shot by Blast Off. After Brawl likewise downs Kup and Onslaught slams Landshark to the ground, the Combaticons merge into Bruticus to finish the job...

...only to be immediately blasted down by a newcomer (or newcomers), whom the Elite Guard are surprised to see.

The Elite Guard confronts Deathsaurus and the Combaticons.

Synopsis

[edit]
