When [[Ser-Ket (Prime)|Ser-Ket]] learned that [[Ultra Magnus (WFC)|Ultra Magnus's]] craft had been shot down in a skirmish with [[Decepticon]]s, she dispatched a number of Forged troops, along with Backbite, to find the crash site before the [[Autobot]]s did. They succeeded in this, and when the [[Dinobot (FOC)|Dinobots]] arrived at the wreck, the high-ranking Autobot had already been removed and Backbite was lying in wait for them. It successfully attacked both [[Swoop (WFC)|Swoop]] and [[Snarl (FOC)|Snarl]] before [[Grimlock (WFC)|Grimlock]] was able to injure it using his [[Dinosaur (dinosaur)|dinosaur]] mode, but the Dinobot leader slipped into a rage that made him attack his teammates. Backbite is a Predacon, cloned from ancient CNA by Shockwave and used by the scientist's disciples, the Forged, to attack and capture their enemies.
