*In January of 2004, she was visiting New York City and was having problems with a subway ticket.  A station attendant told her to just go in through a wheelchair entry.  An imposing undercover NYPD officer grabbed her.  Not knowing he was a cop, she believed him to be a mugger and fought back.  He slammed her against a wall (breaking the ceramics she had just bought) and fined her $60.  When she tried to explain, The Man said, "One more word and I'm throwing you in jail."
