The Surge was a major Decepticon offensive, and is considered one of the Five Dark Epochs of the Great War, ultimately leading to the near-extinction of the entire Transformer race.

[edit]The Surge occurred when Megatron, in possession of Autobot access codes obtained by Bombshell from Hunter O'Nion, ordered the abandonment of the infiltration protocols and an all-out attack on all major Autobot outposts.
