The Jaki are a Predacon subgroup from the Go! portion of the Aligned continuity family.
Continuing a long and glorious tradition of Decepticon redshirts in Japanese fiction.

The Jaki (邪鬼) are drone Predacons that come in five different types. The Barara, Burara, Garara, and Jurara types are each controlled by one of the Four Oni, while Dorara types are controlled directly by Dragotron himself. Jaki are magically created out of ordinary objects by the Four Oni when needed. When one Jaki of each type is present, they are referred to as the Dark Jaki Corps (闇の邪鬼軍団 Yami no Jaki Gundan) or just Dark Jaki (闇の邪気ども Yami no Jaki-domo), and can be combined by one of the Four Oni to form the monstrous Goradora. Jaki can be altered (particularly while in combined form) by the Four Oni to fit the needs of the situation. It is unclear whether the Jaki are autonomous in combined mode, or whether they are directly controlled by Dragotron or one of the Four Oni.

In the battle for the Tatewakis' red Legendisc, Gaidora formed the Jaki from nearby automobiles. They were sent to attack the Swordbot Samurai Team, who made short work of the Jaki. Furious, Gaidora commanded his minions to merge into the fierce Goradora, but the combined robot was ultimately defeated by the might of the Swordbots' combinations. Triple Combination! Swordbot - Samurai!

At the same time at Nagoya Castle, Judora summoned another set of Jaki from assorted machinery to fight with the Swordbot Shinobi Team over the azure Legendisc hidden at the castle. When the Shinobi Team easily beat back the Jaki, Judora had the Jaki combine into Goradora. He was destroyed by the Shinobi Team's combination, GoGekisou. Triple Combination! Swordbot - Ninja!

When Budora was in the past with Bakudora in an attempt to gather the Legendiscs and change history, they were confronted by the Samurai Team. To fight for him, Budora summoned the Jaki from pillars of earth pulled from the ground. They formed Goradora when their individual strength proved ineffective and were eventually destroyed by GoJinbu. Pursue! The Legendiscs!

If the limbs fall off of the combined state, you can reattach them again! Just like in the show!
  • Goradora Set (Multi-pack, 2013)
Part of the fourth wave of Go! toys, Goradora is a redeco of Prime: Beast Hunters Abominus, five robots that transform into robotic dragonoid-like monsters, but completely omitting the individual weapons found in the Hasbro versions.
These toys were only available as a complete five-pack of Barara, Burara, Dorara, Garara, and Jurara.
Goradora's limbs were later redecoed as four of The Last Knight Infernocus's components: Thrash, Rupture, Gorge, and Glug.

  • The word "Jaki" (邪鬼) refers to a very minor classification of Japanese demons similar to "imps" or "goblins" of Western tradition.
  • Which type of Jaki is controlled by which of the Four Oni is not made clear in Goradora's bio, but we can infer that the Four Oni each control the Jaki type whose name and color scheme seem based on their own. See each of their respective pages for more.
