| * There is speculation among fans that Wrecker Hook is the same character as the ''[[Transformers: Robots in Disguise (franchise)| Robots in Disguise]]'' character [[Tow-Line (RID)|Tow-Line]], who was called "Wrecker Hook" in Japan and used the same mold. This would later gain more ground when ''Car Robots'' (the Japanese name for ''Robots in Disguise'') was [[retcon]]ned into being part of the Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity, rather than the weird stand-alone it was presented as at first. However, what little fiction he appears in barely acknowledges Wrecker Hook's ''existence'', never mind getting into his real history. His brief cameo in "[[Metrowar]]", which had appearances from several faction-jumpers, is a winking nod at the idea, but it's still never stated outright. For this wiki's purposes no matter how things turn out (assuming we ever even see him again), the two are still listed separately since "Tow-Line" and "Wrecker Hook" are from completely different [[continuity family|continuity families]] anyway, as the ''Robots in Disguise'' series is still on its own.
