Seizō Katō (加藤 精三 Katō Seizō February 14, 1927-January 17, 2014) was a veteran Japanese voice actor who worked for Haikyo. Some of his most notable roles include Count Magnus Lee from Vampire Hunter D, Dr. Barcas from The Guyver, Ittetsu Hoshi from Star of the Giants, Gamo Whiskey from Cyborg 009, Hazanko from Outlaw Star, Kristopher McLaughlin from Case Closed, Alien Mephilas from the Ultra Series, Father Cornello from FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mother from Tokyo Godfather, Grim Reaper Earl Bolstak from Trigun, Great Satan from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, and a one-off stint as Inspector Zenigata in Lupin III: The Fuma Conspiracy.

When one hears the age in his voice, being 80 at the time, they can see why he declined the opportunity to continue playing Megatron. Tesshō Genda played a parody of Optimus Prime in that same episode.
