| * If the Deluxe Vehicles and Deluxe Insecticons had appeared in the G1 cartoon, their subgroup names could have made sense in-universe - since the Transformers began as mass-produced slaves, "Deluxe" could easily have been a term applied to some models, and could have remained as a description of their body types after the rebellion.

| * The second-season characters' unexplained arrival, and their Cybertonium decay in "Desertion of the Dinobots", can be explained by assuming they left Cybertron at the same time as the other characters, but in Omega Supreme rather than in the Ark. The Autobots at first kept the fact that this new ship was an Autobot a secret - which is why Omega does not join them in leaving Earth in Megatron's Master Plan - but later officially added him to their ranks when he was needed.
