#REDIRECT Cybertron Base (disambiguation)

Cybertron Base is a colossal Autobot.  He's really huge.  Any more than that, as in if his gigantic body is simply an unliving transtector for his head component Zebres (or its head unit Master), is unknown.

It's possible "Cybertron Base" is also merely a description, not a name.

*Cybertron Base (Contest prize, 2004)

: First Prize in a Robot Masters contest where only 10 were awarded, Cybertron Base is completely identical to the retail-release Car Robots Brave Maximus toy, down to what accessories are lacking from the other incarnations of the mold (Generation 1's Fortress Maximus and Grand Maximus), coming only with the two head-robots, a radar dish and the gun for the mid-robot.

: In all modes, Base has a wide array of pop-out (non-firing) guns and gimmicks.  His left leg hides a small prison cell, plus has a swing-out cannon/helipad.  His right leg has a small storage compartment.  The torso has a gear-activated spinner for the detachable radar array accessory,  a "control socket" for Zebres' "communcations tower" mode, and a working elevator that can lift small toys up to its central ramp to be launched in its altmodes.  (The crank for this elevator ends up in a very unfortunate position in robot mode.)  Each arm has a long ramp on the back with sliding launchers for small vehicles.

: The giant robot-mode head is formed by Zebres, who does not actually need the tiny Master unit to attach to the upper body.

: Cybertron Base was shipped in a fairly plain white box, and came with newly-printed instructions.  He also came with the exact same paperwork packet as Car Robots Brave Maximus, including unchanged instructions, a Car Robots catalogue, and the Bave Maximus bio card.

: Second prize in the contest, a set of uniquely-colored solitarium weapons, was certainly the cooler one.

Trivia
* Takara's recent timeline-tweaking via Kiss Players implies that the Cybertron Base of Robot Masters might actually be Brave Maximus from Car Robots (since that series has been retconned into the Generation 1 timeline)... who then went on to become the body for the original Fortress Maximus in The Headmasters. Why Cybertron Base and Brave Maximus' various sub-robots have different names (and what the hell happened to Zebres-slash-Cerebros that let him be replaced by Fortress) is unexplained.

* That tingling sensation in you skull upon reading the above is normal. Take two aspirin.
