Is there any point listing Chromedome and Pharma twice? If they're featured isn't it taken as read that they're mentioned too?--[[User:Emvee|Emvee]] ([[User talk:Emvee|talk]]) 12:21, 29 July 2016 (EDT)

Lockstock and Lancet

[edit]

I think it's a bit early to call time on these two: "...the name made him think of the people who had died or lost loved ones because he'd been too scared to say no to Prowl. Overlord made him think of Pipes and Rewind and Chromedome and Lockstock and Lancet..." doesn't necessarily mean they're dead. Chromedome's still alive for one, though he lost Rewind, and we know that Lockstock's buddy Tripodeca was killed during Overlord's rampage, so he could very easily fit into the "people who had lost loved ones" category rather than "people who had died". --Emvee 11:11, 25 September 2013 (EDT)

That was my thought as well. --ItsWalky 12:39, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
Quite right, gentlemen, a summary done in slight haste. - Chris McFeely 12:48, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
Not at all, I'm always slightly in awe of how quickly you get these things posted, much respect sir. --Emvee 14:21, 25 September 2013 (EDT)

The Zero Point incident

[edit]

Currently, we know the names of FOUR deceased bearers - Suture, Datum, Blockus, and Ramp.

We know FIVE death incidents:

  • Hell's Point (Datum)
  • Simanzi / Crucible
  • Clemency / Nightmare Engine / K-Class squad
  • Fast-Folding Sun
  • Zero point

There's several possibilities:

  • The zero point thing really WAS a freak recovery, not the death of another Magnus.
  • One of the last two incidents was the death of the original Magnus.
  • The list of bearers, and deaths, is still incomplete.

The third seems most likely... but I'm still not 100% convinced that the zero point incident was another death. Is it likely? Of course. But at this point it's still implied, not confirmed. So that's why I threw that note in there. -- Repowers 05:40, 27 September 2013 (EDT)

The zero point incident could easily BE one of the first four. Magnus X is on his deathbed, unable to reach zero point. He dies, is replaced by Magnus X+1, and so a story spreads that he did in fact complete the zero point. We've seen glimpses of 3-out-of-4 prior Magnus's fatal injuries, but not how they actually died and were replaced. For example, a dying Magnus is found after the K-Class impact on Clemency, brought back to a MASH for repairs, and diagnosed with a zero point condition. When he dies, Tyrest does the teleport recall thingy, and Magnus emerges from the MASH hale and hearty, having "reached zero point". --Xaaron 08:23, 27 September 2013 (EDT)
Well, we see Magnus triggering the recall immediately afterwards in each of the death scenarios in #16, so I don't think any of those could have led to the zero point death (the fast-folding sun, maybe). But yeah, there's almost certainly a whole bunch of other Magnuses and deaths that we're unaware of. Jalaguy 08:35, 27 September 2013 (EDT)
