| A warrior in the mold of [[Prima (Prime)|Prima]], '''Megatronus''' was his dark antithesis. He was the most complex of all the Primes, caught between warring impulses of immense passion that never allowed him to have inner peace. His dedication to Primus was unswerving, but faced with Primus' nature on a daily basis, and Prima's emulation of it, he could not help but see himself as an outsider, forever damned by the very powers that gave him such terrifying strength. His ruthlessness, ambition, conviction, and ability to take any course of action gave him near-limitless potential.

| At the same time, Megatronus felt these qualities earned him the disfavor of the other Primes - he was too like Unicron. They turned their gaze away when his burning visage confronted them. It haunted him. He had done nothing wrong, never did, and yet he was, he felt, unworthy. The injustice of it scored his spirit. It seemed that he took on the burdens of darkness at his own expense while the rest could feel assured of their rightness, not having to soil their hands with grim compromises. He was too proud to recognize how vulnerable this left him, as he could never admit any weakness. He covered his fears with zealotry. Ever with those closest to him - Maximo, Micronus, Onyx, and even his lover Solus - he could blow hot or cold depending on how his paranoia fared. He was mentally unstable.

| His personal artifact was crafted for him later by Solus Prime at his request and design. The Requiem Blaster was a weapon that drew on the burning core of distant suns - casting beams that were of such an intensely focused plasma that no material could survive their passage.

| Eventually he was manipulated by Liege Maximo and something snapped inside Megatronus. Consequentially during a murderous rage, he accidentally killed Solus Prime with the Requiem Blaster. The blast was so powerful that Solus disintegrated but not before she vowed undying love for him. After a battle between the remaining Primes, Megatronus banished himself to the the stars out of shame for his actions and forever dubbed himself "'''The Fallen'''".

| Megatronus was one of the original 13 Primes who fought against Unicron in a climactic battle. To aid him in this task he requested that a blaster be made for him by Solus Prime. She reluctantly agreed and the Requiem Blaster was born. Megatronus soon fell in love with the Prime and she him. After the Prime's victory against the chaos bringer, Megatronus and his fellow companions felt that Unicron's evil had rubbed off on them; a fact that he strangely appeared to revel in. Later, he became friends with Liege Maximo who secretly plotted his downfall. Unwittingly playing into a scheme created by Maximo, Megatronus murdered his love Solus Prime. Although the killing was more of an accident than intentional, Megatronus felt terrible for his actions. | Megatronus conceived the idea of the [[Requiem Blaster (Prime)|Requiem Blaster]], a weapon so powerful that it dwarfed all other weapons in existence. With great reluctance, [[Solus Prime (Prime)|Solus Prime]] agreed to forge the weapon for Megatronus, and even then only after Megatronus convinced other members of the Thirteen to petition her on his behalf as well. Even after the weapon was completed, Solus Prime showed great reluctance in allowing it to remain in existence. After demonstrating its awesome power to the Thirteen, she asked for a vote as to whether the Requiem Blaster should be destroyed. Megatronus led the group who voted in favor of retaining the Blaster, and they won by the slimmest of margins, 7-to-6.

| At some later date, Megatronus killed Solus Prime in a fit of rage, and became the Fallen, forever more. The reason for the murder is not fully known at this point, although Solus did favor [[Nexus Prime (Prime)|Nexus Prime]] over others in the Thirteen, a fact that had stirred jealousy in Megatronus in the past. They were placed in the chamber of the High Council.
