Added to Galvatron's arsenal when he was upgraded, cyber-bats are small flying devices which attach to their victim's foreheads, causing paralysis. They come out of his mouth.

The swarm hung over Metro City as one of their number swooped down, attaching itself to Koji Onishi, mesmerising the boy. Galvatron boasted that he had gained control over Earth's children, forcing the Autobot leader to call a retreat.
