- Rad is an Autobot from the Transformers Animated continuity family.
Rad is the chief scientist of the Elite Guard. Part of his duties entail exploring the cosmos, interacting with distant civilizations, and if the situation calls for it, fighting his way out of a tough spot. He never shies away from a challenge, and has a thing for the fembots.

He (allegedly) once got away from the Mutacons of Neutronia with the Magnificence in his possession. One day, while on vacation on Animatron he recounted this story to some fembots when a Cybercat cub attempted to raid the joint. Rad subdued the beast, and decided to keep it as a pet. Naming it Lionizer, Rad trained the cybercat, and it became a useful ally, coming to his rescue on more than one occasion. Lionizer's profile
