Dark matter fission cells are power sources from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

If you need power, and mere energon isn't enough to destroy a civilisation in one go, dark matter fission cells are the things for you. Hermetically sealed and self-regenerating, they can power you until the end of phase six and beyond!

IDW Generation 1 continuity

The Phase Sixer Sixshot boasted that his power core was a dark matter fission cell. Devastation #4

Notes

  • Lockdown's stolen Knight Ship in the Age of Extinction film is stated to use "dark matter drives". The similarity is probably coincidental as "dark matter" is a common science fiction trope.
